The diagnosis is presented graphically
‍involved neuronal network

Three major networks are involved in mental disorders.

Central Executive Network (CEN)
Default ModeNetwork (DMN)
Salient Network (SN)

The SN plays the role of modulating activations of the CEN and the DMN. (above figure)
‍
The CEN is a cognitive computational network interacting with the immediate environment. It involves perception consciousness, conceptualizations (thoughts) working memory decision-making and so on …
‍
The DMN has been connected to self-refences autobiographic memories. From a computational perspective it represents the internal representations of lifetime experiences. These can be optimized or de optimized based on external occurrences. It is considered important for representing personality styles. It is called Default because it is the network activated at rest when the executive network is not activated.
The diagnosis is also presented graphically by
disturbed dynamic types
Disconnection dynamics(In Red)
Subunits, subsystems of the network are statistically independent from each other disintegrating global brain organization thus fragmenting consciousness and disturbing cognitive computations.
‍
Over-connection dynamics (In Black)
‍
Subunits, subsystems are overly- connected, constraining network dynamics reducing brain computational capacity resulting in negative symptoms.

Optimization dynamics(In Blue)
The ‘Bayesian brain’ works as an ‘Optimization’ machine that continually predicts environmental occurrences and update internal presentations of these events. When internal configurations are satisfied (optimized) according to external occurrence then this is accompanied by emergent property of elevated mood. The opposite, when internal configurations mismatch predictions (de-optimized) depressed mood is the emergent property

Destabilized dynamics (InGreen)
Each unit in the network exerts influence on the other units, and collectively all the multiple influences spread in the network conform to the computational dynamics of the network. When these constraints are frustrated (disturbed) the emergence property is anxious mood
